How To Tag Items

Preparing & Tagging Items

Supplies You Will Need

- Access to a computer to enter your inventory

- White heavy paper (Card stock 60-67 LB)  to print tags.

-Scissors to cut the tags

-Safety pins (one inch or larger work best) or a tagging gun.  NO straight pins.

- Hangers -Need hangers...ask your local dry cleaner

- Clear packing tape for non-clothing items

-Gallon zip lock bags to hold small items, accessories or pieces for toys

-Scotch tape for books

Register
             
                   -Log onto www.kiddieconsignmentsale.com. Go to Consignor page and click on
                       consignor log in.  This will allow you to register, input your inventory, sign up
                       for a drop off time & volunteer shifts.

                   -You will be given a Consignor ID 
                          -t
his will be a numerical # that will be assigned to you  
                                and will remain the same if you decide to participate in future events.

Sizin          -Please use the following sizes for children's clothes (No S, M, L, XL)
                        0-3 months
                        3-6 months
                        6-9 months
                        9-12 months
                       12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5-16
                   -S, M, L, XL can be used for maternity clothes only

Pricing
                -All prices must be $1.00 or more and in $.50 increments
            

Describe  your item.  A good description will not only help sell your item,
                      it will also help us find your item if it gets separated from a tag.


Donate
               -You will have the option of donating any unsold items at the 
                  end of the  sale.  Check the box if you wish to donate.

Discount
              -You will have the opportunity to participate in our half price sale.  
               Check  the box if you would like any of your unsold items to be
               sold at half price on Sunday.

Clothing
             -When hanging clothes have the hook facing left like a question mark
             -Place the tags in the following places:
                        -Shirts-on the right shoulder (if the shirt is facing you) or on
                             the tag on the back of the shirt.
                   -Pants- on the right top (if the pants are facing you)
                          -pants should be pinned on the top bar of the hanger
             -Shoes must be in excellent condition
                   -Shoes must be put in ziploc bags.  The tag must be taped to
                            the  inside of the bag
                        -If they are too big for ziploc bags, they must be tied
                            together with laces or zip ties

Toys
            -All toys must be clean and working
            -If there are small pieces to the toys, they must be placed in a
                ziploc bag and taped to the toy
            -Use packing tape (not scotch tape) because it holds better
            -Tape the tag to the toy (only tape the top and bottom, not all 4 
                 sides of the tag)

Furniture & Equipment
          -All furniture & equipment must be assembled at drop off by consignor

Other
            -When tagging books, use scotch tape so the book is not
                 damaged when redoing tag at checkout.
          
We will not accept the following items:
               
Car seats, bike helmets, battery operated toys w/o batteries,  
                Summer/Spring clothes, clothes more than 5 years old,
                clothes with rips, stains, missing buttons, holes, tears,
                that smell of smoke or that have animal fur on them,
                toys that are missing parts or recalled items.

ALL CONSIGNORS MUST CHECK THAT NONE OF YOUR ITEMS HAVE
      
BEEN RECALLED FOR ANY REASON***
